Sleep StudiesAshford Sleep is a service provided in conjunction with the Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health for patients with private health insurance.
This is a facility equipped with state of the art monitoring devices for overnight Sleep Studies.
A sleep study provides a clinical assessment of your sleep that can assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of a range of medical conditions.
During the night a Sleep Technician monitors your breathing, heart rate, brain activity, leg movements and the level of oxygen in your blood. They apply different sensors to your skin in order to make these measurements. Please note that this is entirely painless. If there are any safety concerns during the night the technician is able to view your room on a video monitor. Ashford Sleep provides a service for patients 12 years and older.
